Denime "Lot. 220XX-54" 1954 Model 14oz Regular Straight Jeans
The Denime “Lot. 220XX-54” 1954 Model is a meticulous reproduction of mid-century American denim, reflecting Denime’s legacy of craftsmanship since 1988—now elevated through its integration with Warehouse & Co.
Part of the “XX Series”, this model is crafted using specially developed yarns by Kurabo, based on detailed analysis of vintage denim from the 1920s and 1930s. The fabric blends American cotton with brown Foxfibre®, resulting in a richly textured, slubby denim with exceptional depth and character.
The yarns are rope-dyed in indigo, following Warehouse’s unique low-temperature refining process, which preserves a white core while saturating the exterior—allowing for high-contrast fades as the denim ages. Woven on vintage Toyoda GL3 shuttle looms using 7.3 × 7.3 yarns, the fabric displays a strong vertical grain and natural irregularities true to classic right-hand twill denim.
The selvedge ID, featuring a distinctive white and golden brown line, subtly reflects the unique cotton blend and heritage inspiration behind the fabric.
The fit is a relaxed regular straight with a higher rise, slightly looser than the 1947 model, offering a timeless silhouette that balances structure and comfort. Designed for long-term wear, the denim evolves beautifully over time, developing a unique patina with each use.
Finished with vintage-correct details such as a leather patch, hidden rivets, red tab, and original iron buttons, this model pays tribute to classic American denim with precision and authenticity.
Fit Notes: Denime remains faithful to non-washed unsanforized (loomstate) denim, so it’s important to note that these jeans will shrink. We highly recommend soaking the jeans in warm water before first wear. Expect approximately 4 cm (1.5") of shrinkage in the waist and 7.5 cm (3") in the inseam after soaking, so please refer to the product size chart accordingly. This model fits true to size after shrinkage, meaning the tagged size closely matches the actual waist measurement once the shrinkage has occurred. Compared to most global American brands, sizing is similar, so you can take your usual size. As always, we strongly recommend checking our size chart and taking shrinkage into account to find your perfect size.
