ONI Denim 207 HOX-BRK "Sulfur Dye Heavy Oxford" 13oz Baker Pants Brown Khaki
The ONI Denim 207-HOX Baker Pants are inspired by classic work pants and utility trousers — a style often referred to in Japan as baker pants — reinterpreted through ONI's distinctive approach to fabric development and craftsmanship.
The fabric is a 13oz 100% cotton heavy oxford, sulfur-dyed in a brown khaki — the same fabric we used for our first collaboration with ONI Denim in 2021 — shade and woven with unevenly sized, slubby yarns that give the cloth a rugged, irregular surface texture with visible grain and subtle tonal variation. The combination of irregular yarns and natural sulfur dyeing produces a fabric that is substantial yet supple — firm without ever becoming stiff. As part of the finishing process, the garment has been one-washed to minimize shrinkage and bring out the underlying texture from the first wear.
The silhouette is cut with a bit relaxed fit, a straight leg, and a mid-to-high rise — providing comfortable room through the seat and thighs without becoming overly baggy. The result is a balanced, easy-wearing profile that captures the unhurried character of classic baker pants while remaining wearable in a contemporary wardrobe.
Construction details reflect ONI's signature attention to quality. The trousers feature a five-button fly (including the top waistband button), two large front patch pockets with slanted openings, and two rear flap pockets with button closures. The waistband is fitted with seven belt loops and adjustable button tabs on both sides — each tab fastens to either of two buttons set approximately 3.5 cm (1.4") apart, allowing the waist to be adjusted for a closer or more relaxed fit.
All buttons throughout the garment are black-coated metal buttons engraved with the ONI Denim name, reinforcing the trousers' rugged, cohesive character. A woven "ONI Made in Japan" fabric patch is sewn at the back.
Fit Notes: This model fits true to size for ONI, meaning the tagged size closely matches the actual waist measurement. Compared to most global American brands, sizing is similar or slightly smaller, so you may take the same size or one size up. As always, we strongly recommend checking our size chart to find your perfect size. The fabric is unsanforized but the pants have been one-washed, so no further shrinkage is expected. With regular wear, the waistband will stretch approximately 0.5 inch, allowing the fit to settle comfortably over time. That said, we don’t recommend sizing down, as starting too tight may cause discomfort and alter the intended fit of the garment.
